The Cowboy

This started out as a low-rent broke-ass Squier Stratocaster (maybe a Bullet?) donated by a friend who works in a guitar shop. Originally, I wanted to go "steampunk" with it, but it started looking more "wild west" as I was working on it, so I started adding cowboy embellishments. I had planned on the brass and copper bits all along, but the shapes evolved over time. The brass embellishment below the bridge is something I picked up at an antique shop for a couple of bucks - it was brass and had an acanthus design, so it doesn't matter to me where it came from originally. I learned a few important lessons with this project - firstly, that I need to find a local supplier for brass sheet metal rather than ordering it from overseas via eBay for exorbitant prices.

This guitar is for sale. It sounds and plays great, and it's one of a kind.
